Use your account permissions
Clipomi retains REST and MCP tools for supported video actions. Requests use the same account ownership, plan and usage rules as the workspace. Keep your API key private and provide it only to tools you trust.
Choose the correct endpoint
Use the API endpoint provided for your Clipomi deployment. The MCP service route is /mcp; this guide lives at /developers so documentation does not conflict with the service route. Do not use the upstream OpenShorts hosted endpoint as a Clipomi endpoint.
Handle long-running work
Save the returned job identifier and poll that job for progress. A network timeout does not prove that generation failed. Do not automatically submit another paid request when the outcome is unknown. Download media through the authenticated links returned for your own account.
Upstream tooling
The OpenShorts repository contains the original CLI and tool references. Its public endpoint, prices and hosting claims are separate from Clipomi. Confirm endpoint and authentication compatibility before connecting an upstream client.
